Facebook profile photo: 170 x 170 pixels
Your profile picture appears just under your cover photo on your page. It also shows up next to every post and ad you publish, so when it comes to your profile photo, make sure to use an image that represents you or your brand. It should be at least 170 x 170 pixels.
Facebook post image size: 1080 x 1080 pixels
Want to share a post to your brand page that includes an image? Images that are shared in a post have a recommended size of 1080 x 1080 pixels. This square format (also called a 1:1 ratio) will look the best on both the desktop and mobile Facebook feed when you’re trying to primarily showcase a picture
Pro tip: Use your Facebook Page to really showcase your brand and create a cohesive, identifiable profile. You can do this by using your company logo as your profile picture and a photo that speaks to who you are as a brand for your cover photo.

Instagram post size: 1080 x 1080 pixels

IGTV size: 1080 x 1920 pixels
IGTV allows for longer-form videos to be posted to Instagram. The best dimension for these videos is 1080 x 1920 pixels, an aspect ratio of 9:16. Just like with Instagram Stories, this format will display your content full-screen for a super engaging experience for your followers.
Instagram Reels size: 1080 x 1920 pixels

Facebook Size Guide #1: Feed Photo Posts
For optimal viewing on mobile, it's best to use vertical images with an aspect ratio of 4:5 and 1200 x 1500 px. For square images, opt for a resolution of 1080 x 1080px. And for vertical images use 1200 x 1500 px.
- For feed placements: We recommend square 1:1 for images and vertical 4:5 for videos.
- For stories placements: Most people hold their phones vertically so we recommend 9:16 to capture the whole screen.
- For video carousel format: We recommend square 1:1 and consistent ratios for all videos in a carousel.
If you want to resize an image without losing quality, you need to make sure that the "Resample" checkbox is unchecked. This checkbox tells Paint to change the number of pixels in the image. When you uncheck this box, Paint will not change the number of pixels, and the quality of the image will not be reduced.
You can also upload larger if you like, but they'll be downsized to 1080px. No Longer Only Square. Instagram has finally ditched the requirement that all images be square.
Click the toggle button next to “High Quality Uploads” so the button turns blue upon activation. That's it. Now your uploads will be higher quality regardless if you're using cellular or WiFi connectivity.
Instagram Stories aspect ratios range from a minimum of 1080 x 608 pixels to a maximum of 1080 x 1920 pixels. If you prefer your stories to fill the whole screen, without any borders - it is recommended your video be shot with a resolution of 1080 x 1920p.

We recommend a maximum file size of 1MB for images. 72 DPI is generally sufficient for the web, but isn't required. We don't recommend uploading images that are significantly larger than your content area or template.
The Photo Compress app available at Google Play does the same thing for Android users. Download the app and launch it. Select the photos to compress and adjust the size by choosing Resize Image. Be sure to keep the aspect ratio on so the resizing doesn't distort the height or width of the photo.
Gmail lets you send files or photos larger than 25MB. Users can use Google Drive to send larger files through Gmail. One can also use WeTransfers to send up to 2GB files.
Although Gmail has a resizing tool for images placed inline in the body of an email, it can't help you reduce photos sent as attachments. To resize those, you need to use a free image editing program, such as Photo Gallery (Windows 8) or Windows Live Photo Gallery (Windows 7) to reduce the photo before attaching it.
