Dr. Bern grew up in North Carolina, and is a 1997 graduate of North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He also has a Master’s in Ethology from the University of Tennessee. He moved to Georgia in 2006, and now considers Northern Georgia his home. Though well versed in all aspects of small animal medicine, he has special interests in behavior, soft tissue surgery, and exotic pets. Teaching and client education are also passions of his. He shares his home with his wife, two children, three dogs, and three cats. Outside of being a vet, he participates in local community theatre, is a Disney aficionado, and has strong interest in comic books, science fiction, and fantasy genres. He and his wife also dress in costume for sci-fi conventions and renaissance fairs.
Our Staff
At an early age it was clear that Megan had an abundant love for animals. She is an honor graduate from Rockmart High School and was rewarded for completing the animal science career pathway. After that, she attended Young Harris College and The University of West Georgia until receiving her bachelor’s degree in Biology. Megan has been working in the veterinary field since early 2017. She enjoys spending her free time at nearby parks, lakes, and outdoor trails with her boxer Verity. Waiting to greet her at the home with all the cuddles, is her cat Meeko. Megan is so excited to be a part of the My Pet’s Vet family and cannot wait to meet you and your fur babies.
Antionette has been working in customer service for over a decade, and is excited to bring her expertise to the veterinary world. She has o lot of passion for our four-legged companions and ensuring they get the best service and care possible. When not at work, Antionette loves spending time with her husband and their two fur babies, Chloe and Nola. Together, they love all manner of cooking to feed their family and friends. Serving people is Antionette’s passion and she’ll always strive to do her best to meet yours and your pet’s needs, making sure that animals and humans get the best service we can offer.
Cristina was born in Miami, Florida and grew up in Kennesaw with 3 younger siblings. She recently got married, and shares her home with her husband, his chihuahua, and her 11 reptiles. Cristina has loved animals since she was a child, and always said she would be a veterinarian. After high school, she decided to branch out and worked in food service, customer service, and sales. After leaving her last sales job, Cristina decided to take a chance and apply for a position at an animal clinic. Her passion for animals was soon reignited and has been a veterinary assistant for 4 years. She is currently in school to get her veterinary technician license. Cristina is very active in the dog world, and enjoys going to dog shows, bite work competitions, training seminars, and other dog sport competitions. She currently has a Great Dane and competes in conformation shows, fast cat, and dock diving with her large companion. She is an advocate for reputable breeding. She hopes to have her own kennel with titled, health tested, and temperament tested dogs who are wonderful representations of Great Danes and what amazing dogs they are. When not having fun in the dog world, Cristina likes to attend Repticon with friends, helps out at her local reptile store, and spends time with her Husband, and siblings.
Sidney is originally from Savannah, Ga, where she found her love for animals. She grew up on acres of land with multiple dogs, cats, horses and other pets. Sidney moved to Kennesaw about a year ago to pursue her degree in Biology, and to later attend Veterinarian school. Sidney currently has three dogs that live with her, Koda, Milly, and Gizzie. In her spare time, Sidney enjoys taking Koda and Milly to the dog park and for hikes. She also likes going to the gym and spending time with friends and family.My Pet’s Vet Group is the first vet clinic that Sidney has had the opportunity of working at, and it has only confirmed that she made the right choice with her career pathway.
Greer has had a passion for animals since they were young, owning pets such as cats and dogs to rats and reptiles. On moving to Atlanta from their hometown of Tazwell, Tennessee, Greer began to pursue jobs that allowed them to work with animals and learn the skills they wanted to take into her career. This landed Greer at two separate doggy daycare positions where they gained knowledge in body language, basic training and care. They now are pursuing a career in customer service and veterinary assistance at My Pet’s Vet, and is hoping to further their knowledge to push them towards an education in a veterinary related field. When Greer is not working you can find them drawing, exploring new creative mediums, table-top gaming, and spending time with their partner Joel and their two fur babies, Fish and Roxy.
Megan has connected with animals for as long as she can remember. She was born in Singapore but has lived all over the world with her family. She started riding horses when she was in 3rd grade and has fallen in love with not only the animals, but the sport as well. Not only does she care for her two horses daily, but her duck, her dog and any other animal that comes her way. Megan has pet sat various animals and takes pride in the care they receive. After graduating High School, Megan plans to continue her studies to acquire a degree in Biology.
Isabella “Bella” has been working with animals since she was very young. She started pet sitting when she was 8 years old and never stopped. Bella attends Kennesaw State University a Biology major with a focus in Pre DVM. Her goal is to attend veterinary school once she graduates. Animals of all shapes and sizes are her passion and love. Her interest in animals is one that will never go away. Animals, especially dogs, have always been extremely special to her. Bella has two guinea pigs, Froots and Loops (pictured), a leopard gecko named American Kraft Single (like the cheese); and two dogs back at home she grew up with Roxy the lab and Lily the maltipoo. In her free time, Bella enjoys hanging out with friends, spending time outdoors, and collecting crystals. She currently has 84 different kinds of crystals in her room.
Ashley was born and raised in auburn Al, but moved to the north GA area when she got married in 2016. She worked in the hair industry for 6 years but recently decided to jump into the vet world because of her love animals . She has 4 fur babies Colby, Mia, Ellie, and Oliver. She has several hobby’s but her favorite is working with the Pumphouse theater in Cartersville, Ga. She loves people and getting to meet their fur babies and can’t wait to greet you with a smile.
Tori was born in Bronx, New York and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia. She’s been a loving pet owner since the mere age of 8. As a Childhood Cancer Survivor, Tori has dipped her foot in multiple professions that follow the concept of caring for life’s little creatures. Her interest in anything and everything regarding healthcare sparks her passion and excitement to build her knowledge. Tori is a student at Kennesaw State University majoring in Health Science with a minor in psychology. She currently owns 2 dogs, a husky named Turbo and a terrier mix named Mabel. In her free time, she enjoys researching astrology and watching wolf documentaries.
Born and raised in Georgia, Amber has had a love and affinity for animals since an early age. She’s had many pets over the years, from dogs, cats, birds, and even a pig. So, it seemed only natural that her next step should be in animal care. Amber is pursuing her Vet Tech degree and is beyond excited to be beginning her career in Vet Assisting. Amber lives with her parents, two furbabies, Loki (Silky Terrier), and Lola (Westie Mix), and eight chickens (Buckbeak, Hedwig, Buffy, Fleur, Laverne, JLo, Morticia and J.J.). When she isn’t working on school, she enjoys swimming with Loki, watching Lola chase lizards and squirrels, reading, and working on her latest embroidery or vinyl project.
Sophie was born and raised in Snellville GA, and now lives in Kennesaw to attend Kennesaw State University. Sophie has grown up her whole life with animals in her home, which started her love for all types of animals. She has two dogs at home in Snellville named Penny and Luna, and she adopted a cat near Halloween time when she moved to Kennesaw giving him the name Spooky. She has worked at a doggy daycare previously, but this is her first clinic experience! In the future, Sophie plans to pursue school to become a vet tech so she can continue working with animals.
